SumoSprings or Timbrens Which is Better for a 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500?

Question:

I have a 2018 Silverado 1500 and recently came across the Timbren replacement bump stops. Curious of what your thoughts are. My tow rating is 9500 lbs. The truck sits almost level with the weight distribution hitch, but would like the rear end to come up a little more and ride a little smoother.

I have a solution for you but adding the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System item # TGMRCK15MR to your 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 is not a good idea. This system is typically only used on work body trucks or vehicles that are used exclusively for towing or hauling. The Timbren's will effect your ride quality when you are not towing your trailer and will provide a rough ridged ride.

I recommend using the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs item # SS45MR. These springs have a 2,800 lbs capacity which will be more than enough to handle your trucks maximum tongue weight. The SumoSprings have progressive load control which means the springs compress according to the weight of your cargo. This ensures that you have a factory smooth suspension feeling when you are lightly loaded or carrying no weight on your rear end at all. These springs also work independently from each other to compensate for off-center loads and reduce body roll during sharp turns.
