Will Rear Suspension Enhancement For 2006 GMC Sierra Prevent Bouncing When Towing Camper Trailer?

Question:

I have a 2006 GMC Serra 1500 4door 2WD SLE stock. I am pulling a 3600 lbs Trailer Camper. When hooked to truck, the truck and camper are level. When moving down the highway and drive over a dip in the road, the truck and camper bounce. Will this kit help with my problem? Thanks for any help and suggestions.

The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement # TGMRCK25S will indeed help to fight the bouncing you are experiencing when towing your 3600lb camper trailer with your 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 2WD but I do not recommend going with this option. The reason for this is the # TGMRCK25S is rated for 6000lbs of weight which is way over the tongue weight of your trailer and as such you will have a very stiff loaded and unloaded ride.

Instead I recommend going with the SumoSprings # SS45MR which have a 2800lb load rating and will not negatively effect your loaded or unloaded ride quality.

Lastly I recommend checking that the rear leaf springs on your truck are in good shape and are not worn out, as that could also cause the bouncing you are experiencing.

I included a video of # SS45MR for you to take a look at.
