Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch For A 2022 Grey Wolf 18RR Trailer

Question:

I ordered a 2022 Grey Wolf 18RR and the dealer recommended a Reese Part no. 49913 WDH. Im inclined to go with that. Its cheap, theyll install it for free Im capable of installing it but absolutely lazy enough to let someone else do it for free The claim made by the dealer was their hotshot delivery guy has used all kinds of different WDHs and cant tell the difference between any of them. Im not buying that mostly because Im sure delivery guy is driving a one-ton Diesel and I am definitely not. 2014 Tahoe w/ Max Tow. Thoughts? Is that just fine or should I definitely look elsewhere? Trailer/Truck stats if it helps: Trailer: UVW: 4,463 GVWR: 7,550 Ill be closer to 6k loaded at the high end Tongue: 550 Truck: Tow Rating: 8,200 Payload: 1,733 GCVWR: 14,000

When it comes to installing a weight distribution hitch on your 2022 Grey Wolf 18RR Trailer The Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution w Sway Control - Round Bar - 11,500 pounds GTW, 1,150 pounds TW # RE44FR is a good choice for you.

Using this weight distribution hitch will evenly distribute weight over the axles of the towed vehicle and the trailer for stability and control, it also creates a more level ride for both the tow vehicle and trailer. The hitch has a powder coated finish that offers durability and corrosion resistance. The system includes everything that you will need to tow your trailer.

When using a weight distribution hitch it is best to be as close as possible to the loaded tongue weight of your trailer. If you are over or under it could cause more sway and could be more dangerous then not having one on at all. This system has a total tongue weight range between 600 pounds and 1,150 pounds, and has a gross towing weight of 11,500 pounds.
