Does the Replacement Long Arm Assembly for Thule EasyFold XT Need a New Lock Core
Question:
Just received from you the long arm with no lock that I purchased. Customer review posted on your site indicated it would work without the lock, but it does not as it will not tighten adequately. Disappointing to see inaccurate information there. To fix this it appears I need to have the lock on it. If I buy the single key cylinder, can it be installed as is or do I also need to also purchase the core key to install it?

I am sorry that a "Customer Review" was misleading. In order for optimal performance of the Replacement Long Arm Assembly for Thule EasyFold XT Electric Bike Rack # 1500052414 you would need a lock core installed. You can use the lock core from your old long arm if it is still operational. You would just need the Universal Change Key # TH42BJ to remove your current unlocked core.
If you are needing a new core you would use the Universal Change Key # TH42BJ to install a new lock core like the Replacement Lock Cylinder and Premium Key for Thule One-Key Systems # TH39ND or whatever lock core number you currently have to keep your keys the same.
