Where is Brake Controller Plug on 2019 Ford Explorer Limited Edition
Question:
I have a 2019 Ford Explorer Limited Edition with the tow package and 7-pin connector at the class III trailer hitch. I have attached a brake controller to my previous 2012 Explorer in the past with no problems. I cannot find the plug on my 2019 Explorer and spent more than 2 hours under the dash looking for it. Your previous post to the same question mentioned it could be behind the glove box but failed to mention any details how to see behind or remove the glove box. I did find one connector on the wiring harness under the dash high above the parking brake, but it seems to have some kind of cap on the end that is not obvious on how to remove it. It also has a lot of wires going into it so I am not convinced that is the connector I am looking for. Any suggestions on where to find the correct connector?

If you fast forward to the 6:35 mark of the attached install video you'll see where you'll find the brake controller install port on your 2019 Ford Explorer. This is where you'll plug in the # 3035-P which will allow you to install a controller like the Brake EVN # TK63VR. It is under the dash near the brake pedal and is gray.
