Trailer Axle Alignment Kits To Reduce The Amount of Blowouts On Trailer Tires
Question:
Hello, Well, Im going through trailer tires like candy, about one every 2 to 3 weeks. Its so bad I bought an entire tire changing machine just for my trailer. My truck is doing great so far with Kevlar tires I bought for it but the trailer in another world. Can you recommend any tire whatsoever that would do a lot better than 2 to 3 weeks before a tire blows out, plys separate, or can withstand nails better the tires I have tried. Price is not an issue if the tire works! I cant tell you how many different brands I have tried but it is a lot. 225/75/15 is my tire size. Thank you

The Karrier ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # AM10303 are going to be our best trailer tires in your size, but the way you are going through tires I believe that there is something else causing the problem and not the tires. Often times is the axles get bent or the mounts are not aligned properly these issues will lead to the tires overheating and having blow outs. Depending on your trailer setup we may have something to help you with the axle alignment. Remember that a axles will often have a vertical bend to help with clearance and if it is bent vertically you will typically see the tires wearing more on the inner or outer tread. If they are bent toe in or out the tires will still wear evenly but more rapidly just like if the axles are out of alignment.
The Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit - Single Axle # LC87120, Tandem Axle # RR23QX, and Triple Axle # RR55QX allow you to move the axle up to 1/2" forward or back to properly square it to the frame. If you do not feel confident in performing this yourself you can have it done at a trailer service center.
