Trailer Ramp Spring for 76 inch Wide 180 lb Ramp

Hello, i have an enclosed trailer that has the spring assist mounted at the hinges of the ramp, i would like to install a garage door overhead torsion spring with cables The ramp is 76x76 and weighs 180 lbs, but when i put a scale under the end of the ramp its only 80 or 90 lbs What size spring do you recommend?

Thank you for all of the info you listed for your enclosed trailer ramp. The best option is going to be the ramp spring kit part # ERS120D81. This is 81 inches wide and has capacity of 120 lbs. This is more capacity than you'd need but it can be wound for less lifting capacity like what you'd need so that you can tailor exactly how much lifting capacity you'd need.

The 120-LB #M354FR is going to likely be a better option with the door weight between 125-130lbs. While the 150-LB #362SA8207 will work the higher weight will make the door want to raise up off the ground which can be troublesome when trying to load…
