How to Control Flow Of Condensation from Advent Air RV Air Conditioner

Question:

Im wondering about the water this unit may produce. Is there a way to direct the water? Ive seen other unit designed to just run off the side of RV.

Helpful Expert Reply:

The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Wall Thermostat, # ADV44FR has gaskets that seal the unit to the roof preventing water intrusion and allowing accumulated moisture to evaporate without entering the RV. This is designed with a discharge port to evacuate any condensation generated during operation and while not necessary, you can redirect any accumulation by fabricating a drain tube. This would certainly allow you to control the flow of excess that is generated as opposed to letting it evaporate from the discharge port.
