Can Advent ADV44FR RV Air Conditioner Be Mounted Vertically
Question:
I am trying to install this in a rear compartment of my van. Can I mount it upright with the blower at the top and pointed left? What do I need to consider? Can I make a condensation pan and drain under it? Will it operate properly that way? Can it use inside air without risk of asphyxiation? Or would I need to give it fresh air from outside?

The # ADV44FR Advent RV Air Conditioner shouldn't be mounted in the way you describe. If you did so, the compressor would be sitting on its side and wouldn't receive the proper lubrication, which would quickly cause the compressor to fail. The unit is meant to be mounted to the roof of a vehicle so the output feeds through the underside through a 14x14 inch opening in the vehicle's roof, as shown in the linked install video.
