Troubleshooting a Furrion Back Up Camera that Will Not Turn On But Will Work on Another Truck
Question:
I can not get my camera to come on. the monitor works and when I connect the camera in the wire on the cig lighter it works and I can pair. I have a 2004 GMC Sierra 2500 HD. Could it be something with the truck? When my camper is plugged in everything works on the camper for towing. The fuse under the hood was replace. I can not figure out what I am missing and the dealer said it worked when they hooked up to another truck. Thank you for your help.

Given the information you provided about the camera working fine when plugged into the cigarette lighter and on another truck, it definitely seems like it is most likely an issue with your truck and the camera not getting enough power.
You can use a Circuit Tester # PTW2993 to check your 7-way pins and the wiring behind your 7-way to try and locate a wiring issue that could be causing this issue. I would start with the 7-way pins, it could be something as simple as giving the pins a good cleaning if there is any grime build up, if all the pins are good then you can start checking for damaged wiring.
