We have what you need! If you are looking for a great basket for your standard/regular cab 2004 Toyota Tacoma, I recommend using the SportRack Vista Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - Steel - 44" Long x 39-1/8" Wide # SR9035. This basket is large enough to provide you with the space you need on your roof, but small enough not to impede visibility out of your front windshield while driving. It is important to note, though, that in order to use this basket on your roof, you need to have at least 23-5/8" of available roof space from the front to the rear of your cab.

In order to mount the SportRack Vista, you need a compatible roof rack system. The standard roof racks we have require drilling onto the roof of your cab. For the drilling route, I recommend the following setup:

- Yakima 42" Tracks for Roof Racks # Y01126
- 2 Sets of the Landing Pad 1 # Y00221
- Yakima SkyLine Towers # Y53TR
- Yakima JetStream Crossbars - 60" # Y00426
- Yakima Same-Key Lock Cores # Y07204

With this setup, you will be able to have a fully-functional roof rack system to mount the Vista basket. Since your cab is most likely less than 42 inches long, you can cut the tracks for a shorter size. With this roof rack, it provides you with 165 pounds of maximum capacity.

If, however, you want a drill-free creative solution, I recommend using the SeaSucker Monkey Bars # 298-SX6000B to use with the Vista. With the SeaSucker, it involes the quickest installation and removal process out of any roof rack we carry. It also clamps on using vacuum cups that have an impressive pull capacity. With these cups, you do not need to worry about losing the basket or your cargo. I went ahead and attached a video that displays the true strength of the vacuum cups. The overall weight capacity is an impressive 150 pounds, so you can utilize the full 110-pound capacity of the Vista.

For extra theft-deterrence locks for your Monkey Bars, I recommend using the Window Cable Anchor # 298-BA0010 along with the etrailer Cable Lock # e98891.

For straps for your cargo, I recommend the etrailer Cam Buckle Straps # E98876-4.
