Front Receiver and Fascia Trimming for 2013 Ford F150 4x4 V8
Question:
My truck 2013 F150 XLT 4x4 V8 has the upper and lower air dams. Does this front-mount hitch fit the same on the 2013 model trucks as 2010 and only minor trimming is necessary? I would like to not mess up the front bumper and not remove the front air dam if possible. I think this means that I should get the Draw-Tite front-mounted hitch and not the Curt model which seems to need the lower air dam, probably, removed? Thanks

To install the Draw-Tite # 65061 on your 2013 F150 4x4, the air dam would need to be removed. According to the installation instructions, a 1-3/8 inch tall by 3-1/2 inch wide portion of the fascia will need to be trimmed. I have copied the portion of the installation instructions referring to trimming and the air dam for you to examine.
According to Curt, their # C31068 would also require that the air dam be removed. The instructions state that a 2-1/2 inch wide by 1-1/4 inch portion of the fascia would need to be trimmed away.
