Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Coleman 7000 Series Air Conditioner
Question:
I need to replace a Coleman 7000 series. Will the ACM135 work for this application. I see the wiring adapter will not work with this series, can it easily be hard wired?

For your situation it is best to use the Furrion Chill Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Coleman Setup, # FR82PV. With this option you can use the your current, in good working order, Coleman components such as the thermostat and air distribution box. This is a straight forward bolt-on installation replacing your existing Coleman AC unit. The wire adapter connects the new AC to existing Coleman setup and the mounting hardware is included.
But to answer your direct question, yes the 13,500 Btu Advent Air RV Air Conditioner, # ACM135 can be used to replace your Coleman 7000 series unit but as listed above it is not the best option. You can use this unit providing you also use the Coleman Mach Adapter Wiring Kit for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners, # ACCOLKIT. But in addition this option does not mate to the Coleman Mach 6000 or 7000 series ceiling vent assemblies, meaning those items would need to be replaced too. So you are basically left with doing a complete removal and replacement of everything associated with the 7000 series unit. There are some models of the Coleman AC unit that can continue to use the, in good working order, existing air distribution system and thermostat and that is what this # ACM135 is intended to support.
