Do Holes Need to be Drilled to Install Trailer Hitch in 2020 Honda CR-V
Question:
Do you have to drill holes in the frame for mounting the etrailer hitch on a 2020 CRV EX L AWD? Or, are the holes for mounting already in the frame?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Nope, holes do not need to be drilled into the frame of any model 2020 Honda CR-V; including your EX L to install a trailer hitch receiver; the correct fit for your CR-V is the following:
- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98848
The holes are already in the frame of your CR-V, so all you'd do is install the # e98848 using the bolts that come with the hitch - no drilling is needed whatsoever.
The only other thing I wanted to mention, in case you want to use the hitch for towing and need a 4-way wiring harness, that the correct part for the harness on your '20 CR-V is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118741.
