Option to Replace 3,500 lb Axle With 5,200 lb Axle-Less System
Question:
Hello, I have a 3500lb rated 85HF and 70SC axle on my trailer. I would like to get an axle rated for 5000 lbs, is this an option? Thanks

There aren't 5,000 lb axles (they are generally 5,200 lbs), and 5,200 lb axles are longer than the measurements you have, but there is still an option if you'd like to replace your 3,500 lb axle with a 5,200 lb Timbren Axle-Less system:
- Timbren Axle-Less Suspension - Spindle Only - Regular Tires - 5,200 lbs # ASR5200S01
The Timbren are simply bolted or welded so you do not have to worry about finding an axle that meets any specific measurements. They also give you an improved ride compared to a traditional through-axle because they aren't connected by an axle beam, so they work independently, meaning if there is a bump on one side of the road it won't rattle your entire trailer.
If you'd like to go this route you'd also need hubs, with the correct fit being the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 5,200-lb Axles # 8-201-5UC3.
