I went ahead and brought this to the attention to the techs at A-iPower. He confirmed that while you technically can use 30 non-detergent oil on the A-iPower 2,000-Watt Portable Inverter Generator - 1,600 Running Watts # 289-SUA2000i, they recommend using 10w-30 because that is what the generator was engineered to use.
