Will Thule Canyon Roof Basket Fit Yakima Round Bar Crossbars
Question:
If I wanted to use a Thule Canyon cargo basket with my Yakima round bars, which mounting hardware do I use for this setup? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
The Thule Canyon, part # TH859XT or part # TH859XT-8591XT, will fit directly to your Yakima Round Crossbars without any adapter. The U-Bolts do have a rectangular shape but you should be able to space it out and tighten it down enough that the cargo basket stays stationary during transit.
If you want something with a slightly different mounting system check out the Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket # RMCB02. The mounting hardware on this has grooves designed to accommodate aero-style, square, and round crossbars.
