Question:

With level kit do i need to raise the ball location on shank beyond the instructions say on the WDH? Or do i need to add a washer or two?

You will need an adjustable shank for your weight distribution hitch in order to keep the trailer level with your ball mount. You can use something like Curt Welded Weight Distribution Shank 7" - 10 Hole Adjustment, part # C17123, to adjust the height of your ball mount.

I have included a product description link, a video installation link, and a weblink to our adjustable ball mounts below.

Unfortunately, it depends on your setup. There is not a specific setup if you have a level kit on your truck. You can add a washer or two and then check to see if your setup is level. When installed correctly your weight distribution hitch should keep your front wheel at the same height and your rear wheel should be within 1-1/2" of its unloaded measurement. The closer these measurement are the better. If the front of your vehicle is pointing upward, you need more tension in your system. If the nose points downward, your system needs less tension. I have included a weblink about weight distribution hitches below.
