Americana Metal Bolt in Valve Stem and Tire Pressure Monitor on a Lionshead Aluminum Jaguar Wheel

Question:

Good morning, I have a fifth wheel trailer 34foot long that has Lionshead Jaguar rims. The tires are inflated to 80 psi so I am assuming they have the heavier rubber valve stem to accommodate that pressure. My question is can I add TPMS sensors to those rubber valve stems without the risk of the rubber valve stem failing resulting in a flat tire s, or should I convert these valve stems to metal bolt on type. Would the Americana valve stem fit on the Jaguar rim? From the questions on this item it does not appear that Americana will work with Jaguar rims due to the fact that the outer washer will not fit into the rim recess for the valve. Thanks for your help.

Yes, there are solutions for running tire pressure sensors with the rubber valve stems on your Lionshead Aluminum Jaguar Trailer Wheel item # LHSJ211G. The TST TPMS for RVs - Color Display - Signal Booster - 4 Tire Sensors item # TST-507-RV-4-C are made of brass and designed for use on rubber, steel, chrome, or nickel valve stems the Americana High Pressure Rubber Snap-In Valve Stem - 1-1/2" Long item # AM20904 that are rated up to 80 psi.

There is also a tire pressure system with flow through sensors it is the TST TPMS for RVs - Color Display - Signal Booster - 4 Flow Through Tire Sensors item # TST-507-FT-4-C.

The Lionshead Aluminum Jaguar Trailer Wheel item # LHSJ211G has a 0.453 inch valve stem hole diameter. The Americana item # AM20906 valve stem is made of chrome-plated brass. This particular stem includes 2 rubber grommets that actually allows it to fit either a 0.453 inch or 0.625 inch valve stem hole. It measures 1-1/4 inches long and can be used for tire pressures of over 100 psi.

These valve stems are compatible with systems like the TireMinder i10 TPMS for RVs and Trailers w/ Signal Booster - 4 Tire Sensors item # TM89FR.
