These Titan Chain diamond-pattern chains are great winter weather chains. If you live in an area where you're likely to get frequent snow and ice, these chains are perfect because they're durable and easy to mount. The links on these chains are thicker than the links on most other low-profile snow chains on the market, so they'll wear better and last longer. But they're still lightweight and compact, so they store in your vehicle nicely too. If you're more likely to see seriously icy conditions, you may want a chain with V-bar links that can really bite into the ice to give you maximum traction.

These chains are among the easiest and fastest to install because they have built-in tensioners that you can just pull taut to adjust the fit. These tensioners allow the chains to fit your tires, no matter the profile or wear pattern. And because the tensioners are built-in, you never have to worry about losing them like you might with other chains on the market.

Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer. You'll also need to know how much clearance is in your wheel well, which you can determine by measuring from your tire tread to the sidewall of the wheel well.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

Installing Tire Chains

Installing these chains is incredibly simple.

Lay chains on the ground to get all the tangles out

1. Lay out the chains on the ground to make sure there are no twists or kinks.

Slide chains behind the tire

2. Spread the chain around the back of the tire.

Make connections behind the tire

3. Connect the ends of the cable, which will sit behind the tire.

Attach green hook to yellow side chains

4. Around front, connect the 2 ends of the yellow side chain using the green hook at the top of the tire.

Feed tensioner through clips

5. At the bottom of the tire, feed the silver tensioning chain through the red channel bracket and pull it taut. Then run the tensioner through as many red clips along the side chain as you can, leaving room to still be able to stretch the hook across the tire.

Recheck tension

6. Attach the hook to the side chain directly across from the last clip you ran the tensioner through. The hook should face away from your tire. Pull your vehicle forward 2-3 vehicle lengths and recheck the tension.

How to Choose Snow Chains for Your Vehicle

To choose the right snow chain, you must match your tire size. Those measurements can be found on the side of your tire, as shown below.

Tire size on sidewall

185/60-15

  1. (185) - indicates tire width in millimeters
  2. (60) - gives you the aspect ratio (sidewall height as percentage of width)
  3. (15) - denotes the diameter of the wheel rim in inches

I've fit these chains once. Super easy to put on, super easy to take off. Bought these for my trips to Tahoe. Although my truck is 4x4, it's worth it to have these chains in case I need them.

2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Carry bag is really nice. Chain and cable seem to be tough to withstand anything during use. Took less than 2 minutes to wrap and connect on a tire. Just hope the same in winter. Lol….

It does fit 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with 20” rims. So the info advertised could be updated to reflect that.

by:
2012 Ford F-250 Super Duty

I am currently using these chains in about 12 inches of hard packed snow with an inch of ice underneath on my F-250. These are easy to install and cheap compared to other options. I'm sure some v-bar chains would be better, but I absolutely cannot complain. The Canadian dirt road that I am on back in the woods is likely putting these chains through more than most will use them for albeit under 10 mph at all times.

by:

Great set of chains! Terrible storm last Christmas in Buffalo and the only way we could get around in my truck was with those chains. Got us out of a lot of tough situations. Easy to put on, would definitely recommend.

by:

Easy to put on and lightweight. These chains are not for ripping up the hillside but to get you back home when tires aren't enough. Well packaged and easy to put on and take off.

by:

I have two sets of these. Easy to put on. Easy to take off. I swear by the diamond pattern design across the tire face. And this was the brand that could deliver for my tire size. I hope to have these for a long time. They gave me great peace of mind.

by:

Not as easy to put on as i thought. But i should get faster with more practice. Very nice design. Can’t wait to get stuck to try them out.no stopping this bucking Bronco now.

by:

Excellent service and prompt delivery

by:

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these chains as the price was less that much of the competing products. I have sets of much more expensive chains that are, at best, equal in quality.

2018 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Put these on a 2018 Ford F-250 Super Duty with 20" factory wheels and tires. Fit is great, install is simple and quick. Probably not the chains you would run on a snow plow truck, but will probably be awesome for the occasional user like me. Fortunately I did not get to use them this winter... Yet.

Used the chains twice this winter. They work great, easier than others that I have had to install on the side of the road. Work well on ice, snow, and mud. Got me out of a jam twice. They are worth the money.

by:

Hello I was at the dealer signing papers on my new truck when I got the news that my mother of 92 years old passed To get to her house I have a snowy pass to cover not having time To find snow chains Here on the west coast I ordered them on the driller and they showed up A-day and a 1/2 later in time for my Trip Thank you very much

by:

These chains are by far the easiest chains I have ever put on or taken off a truck 10 minutes to put on and five minutes to take off. I am in a wheelchair so getting on the ground is not the easiest thing to do so with these chains taking so little time to put on it is a blessing. No Jack and no running them over to put them on. You may have to drive over them to take them off. Used one set last winter to plow a 6 1/2 mike gravel road and did awesome so I bought a set for the front.

Still running strong. due to my own fault I had to replace 2 links as I spun my tires on bare frozen gravel road . But they are still a amazing chain

by:

Excellent product, quick shipping. Their website was the only one that made any sense when shopping for chains. Plan to look at eTrailer chains for all my over the road and plow trucks.

by:

Haven’t used the chains yet, but the service and follow up from e-trailer is amazing

Nissan Titan

I have owned Titan snow chains with my last two trucks, they are a great product, as well as etrailer being a great company and super fast shipping very pleased

by:

I have used these a few times in the snow and ice to be able to tow my 11000 lb fifth-wheel trailer. The provided enough traction to tow my trailer up a 6% hill from where it was parked. (chains on all four wheels 4x4)

These are easy to install. I did have an issue when trying to install after getting into some snow. I was unable to get the proper tension and they would come off. Broke a couple of links. They come with a few repair links. Once they are on properly, they are good. This was also while towing the trailer, which is really the only time I need them.

by:
2013 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

Fits perfect and easy to install. Far superior to the big heavy ladder style. 2013 f 250

by:

Arrived within the expected time and Jesse was so knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole process…checking in to make sure my order would arrive on time.

Chains are easy to install and if I can do it with a full set of nails, anyone can. My tires are pretty huge (315 70/17) and I did not have a single problem.

by:
2015 Nissan Titan

I selected the Titan Diamond Alloy Snow Chains because of their innovative design. Promising the ease of installing cable chains yet having the durability of standard ladder chains.

The chains arrived promptly and I practiced installing them in the driveway. Fairly simple as advertised. Clever design. Nice storage case (not just a burlap bag). You still need to move the truck in order to re-tighten them. Fits LT275/65R20 tires perfectly.

I was a little bit disappointed about the thin gauge of the chain links. I guess that makes them lightweight and easy to install.I hope that they last past the first use. Luckily, I am only "an occasional chain user". I am not moving to Montana or Alaska with this set.

Recently received my order for titan snow chains, fit was as promised.fairly simple to install. (test fit in drive way) will be putting them to the test this weekend. My first time purchasing from E TRAILER customer service was outstanding. UPS had a problem finding the delivery address, got a phone call from E trailer same day to verify shipping address. A phone call ? talk to a person ? WOW, they were on point to solve a potential problem before there was a problem. It is rare to find company that will pick up a phone and personally speak with you to get it right from the beginning. Nice work E TRAILER !

The chain set fit well and worked perfectly... they have stood up well and were easy to mount and unmount. They saw little to no wear and we expect to use them for years to come...

2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Great product and amazing price with quick delivery! Over satisfied.. yeah, that’s me

by:

Overall I like these chains. They go on pretty easy and work great. The second time I used them a link broke which caused the unsecured piece of chain to hit the inside wheel well as I drove. It did not affect the performance of the chain. It was a quick fix with the extra link that came with the chains.

The Titan Chain # TC2536 tire chains are confirmed to fit size 275/65-20 tires. However, when I checked the owner's manual for the 2015 Ford F-350, the manual says that tire chains should not be used on 20 inch wheels with your vehicle. Since chains are not recommended by Ford for your size tire, we have not tested them on that specific vehicle to know if the chains interfere with another component.
