Bike Rack That Can Handle A 72-lb E-Bike On A Lance 1685 Camper Trailer

I own a Lance 1685 camper with a 1 1/4 inch receiver already installed. I would like to purchase a bike rack and or needed equipment that will carry a Himaway step thru e bike. It weighs 72 pounds with battery per the Himaway website. What are your recommendations? Thank you

For your Lance 1685 Camper, you're realisitcally not going to be able to do what you're intending to do. You would really need to upgrade your hitch to a 2" reciever instead, with # UF35-946403.

From here, I recommend the Lets Go Aero V-Lectric FAT PRO Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # LGA77FR, to transport your Himiway Step Thru E-Bike. This bike rack is capable of handling two bikes, with a capacity of 75-lbs each, and a maximum tire width of 4.5".

I have a few potential options for you, but we do not have any 1-1/4" bike racks that are rated for use with a travel trailer. Your first option would be to replace your 1-1/4" hitch with a 2" hitch. This can be done a couple of ways.…

You will have to go with a sliding hitch to allow the trailer to make tight turns. For a trailer 8 feet wide the only bed length that's going to allow 90 degree turns without a slider is a stationary hitch. That being said you have two options.…
