Parts Needed for Roadmaster Invisibrake and Tail Light Wiring Kit for a 2016 Chevrolet Sonic
Question:
Installing invisi brake system on 2016 chevy sonic do I need diodes for the tail lights?

Expert Reply:
You need to have a diode kit installed regardless of which braking system you are using, this is what lets you connect your RV's tail, brake, and turn signal lights to your towed car's lighting system so that your brake lights and turn signals illuminate. This is a requirement for flat towing. You can use the Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-152-LED to accomplish this. You will also want the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass # RM76511 which replaces your Chevrolet Sonic's mini-fuse and lets you prep for towing by simply flipping a switch.
When installing the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700 in your 2016 Chevrolet Sonic you will need to use the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751457 which ensures that the supplemental braking system is functioning properly.
