2017 Toyota Highlander Tire Chain Recommendation for P245/60R18 Tires

Question:

Going to kings canyon national park in April. Will these chains be adequate for the conditions? I don’t quite understand the light snow conditions on the descriptions. Second, Will it fit on P245/60R18 tires? Thanks.

The Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire Chains # TC2029 will fit the P245/60R18 tires on your 2017 Toyota Highlander. These are a cost-effective way to stay legal in areas that require you to have traction devices but if you're looking for something to help you get through snow then we need to look at actual chains because cables won't help at all - the light snow rating basically just means snow that you can get through without chains.

For something with the same ladder pattern you can use the V-Bar Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains # TC2829 but I recommend upgrading to the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains # TC2317 which use a square link and diamond pattern. This gives you more of a consistent ride quality (so it doesn't feel like you're running over a million little speed bumps) and this style is easier to install.

I took a look at the online owner's manual and it calls for install chains on the front tires only and to make sure they are low clearance chains. Because of all this I recommend the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains # TC2317.

Attached are review videos of all 3 chains for you to check out.
