I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98840 for your 2022 Honda Pilot Black edition. This receiver is matte black to match well with the matte black accents on your Pilot. The receiver has a hidden cross tube so you will only see the receiver under your rear fascia. With a weight capacity of 900lbs tongue weight and 6,000lbs towing you will be able to pull a variety of trailers. A weight distribution hitch will increase your towing capacity to 8,000lbs. Be sure to not exceed any manufacturer rating for your Pilot from Honda.
The 4-Way T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118760 will control the trailer tail lights on small trailers. It can also be used for Auxiliary Lights # C53201 in the event your bike rack or cargo carrier impair the view of the tail lights.
For larger trailers that require a 7-way the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118286 will give you the wiring for a 7-way connector. It also provides you with the fuses to install in the front engine compartment to power the tow package. Then you will be able to install the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR with the Harness # RED59FR for trailers that require an electric brake controller.
