Electric Sway Control for Heavier Dual Axle Trailer
Question:
I have a 32 in-tech dual axle trailer that is rated for 14,000lbs. I usually dont load it past 10,000lbs. My problem finding a hitch is the frame is a 4in x 8in box. The tow vehicle is a 2018 F350 Single axle. I am going to start doing alot of cross country runs with this trailer and depending on the load am experiencing a lot of sway. Cost is not a huge concern as this is a bushiness expense, please let me know the most reliable and robust system.

A weight distribution system is not going to prevent sway that is caused by loading issues. They can help reduce some light sway from winds or semi trucks but if you are getting a lot of sway based on how the vehicle is loaded this would not fix this. Also, the spring bar tension needed for a system has to be set specifically for the tongue weight of the trailer so one system may not work for you since the load would vary.
An electric sway control unit like part # 335TSC-1000 might be a better fit for your trailer. This has a sensor that can detect when sway starts and applies the brakes in a way that stops it.
