What is the load rating for this, both dynamic and static? Also, is the rating given for a single tower or a set of 4, when used in a set of crossbars?

I contacted the manufacturer regarding your questions on the Replacement Yakima Control Tower # Y8890027. What they told me was that the weight rating for all 4 of the towers with a set of Yakima bars is typically 165 lbs. So not individually.

It is important to note that the control tower will require vehicle specific landing pads to fit your vehicle.

The Yakima roof channels are much bigger than what the #Y8880184 is designed to fit. The only solution would be the hardware bag part #Y8890028 which is the track nut and bolt that is designed to fit the channels you have.
