Trailer Tire and Wheel Replacement for Trailer Camper Tire ST175/80-13
Question:
My son bought a 20 year old pop up camper. The tires appear to be in less than satisfactory condition as far as I am concerned. I want to replace his tires and rims but not sure which tire size to go with. The present tires are ST175/80 D 13. There is also in parenthesis B78-13 after the tire size. Under the tire size close to the rim are the number/letters K-550-05. Am I correct to say the D represents the load bearing? His camping destinations are all within three hours from his home. My preference would be a radial tire. Does Etrailer sell the above tire size with white rims? Thank you,

Helpful Expert Reply:
The letter D in the tire size actually indicates that what is on there now is a bias-ply but we have this size in radial which would be the way to go. Since you said a white wheel the part # AM31994 would work great as it's a radial mounted on a white wheel with a 5 lug bolt pattern. This is a Load Range D.
