Can Air Lift and Timbrens be Installed on a 2004 Ford F-250
Question:
I have a 2004 Ford F250 Long Bed 4X4 with an installed Reese 5th Wheel Hitch. It is also lifted 4. I have Timbrens installed where the bumpstops used to be. It looks like the AirLift 88298 installs on the outside of the main bed rails on top of the leaf springs so I am wondering can I leave the Timbrens in place as an added jounce safety or do I have the wrong model Air Lift I have seen some on videos that go on the other side of the rail and connect to the bottom bounce stop. Thanks for the help!

From what I can see it looks like the Timbren Rear Suspension # TFR250SDE will fit with the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 # AL88298 on your 2004 Ford F-250. The Air Lift brackets have an opening that will fit around the mounting hardware for the Timbrens. Depending on the lift of your vehicle you may need a spacer kit like the 2" Spacer # AL52420 or 4" Spacer # AL52440.
To determine which spacer kit you need (if any), you need to park your truck on a level surface and measure the distance between the mounting surfaces of the upper and lower brackets (see attached photo). The design height of the bags that come with the kit 88298 is 6" - you can use this to figure out what spacer kit you need.
