Installation of Progressive Dynamics # PD4560K18LS8 and Inverter Connection

Question:

Can I use a 110/ 5000 inverter on the 110 side of the converter box . Or will it keep the battery charged with the 12 v alonej So I got this converter/ panel box for my bus conversion. The 12v side is simple . 12v in 12 v out. The 110 side has to have 110 going in, if I understand it correctly. To the breakers and 110 out. The black jumper wire that connects to the 110 side that turns on the fan when converting the 110 to 12 v. Has to have 110 to convert to 12.? With out that it will not keep battery charged if I'm understanding it correctly. If so can I use a 8500 watt generator for the 110 side? Or will the 12 converter produce 110? Where can I watch a video on the installation and hook up.?

The Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center with AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger - 60 Amp, # PD4560K18LS8 that you linked to, will provide a full 60 Amps of DC charge to your battery bank. This is to be used with a 50 amp AC inlet such as the SmartPlug RV and Marine Power Inlet, # SM79FR. It is a 2-in-1 AC/DC distribution panel and converter charger that will power systems inside the RV and is compatible with either lithium or lead acid chemistry battery banks. The panel supplies AC and DC distribution to your RV's electrical system. The integrated converter charger changes AC shore power into DC power to charge your battery bank.

If you want to use an inverter for drawing power from you battery bank, that will be connected to your battery bank, not the 110AC. Please note the linked installation video below.
