Does Front Hitch Install on 2015 Toyota Tacoma TRD Require Removal of Skid Plate

I have a 2015 Tacoma TRD Sport and have been told that the Curt PN 31313 is the choice for my front mounted hitch. However, Ive also been told that the front skid plate must be moved and cant be reinstalled once the hitch is in place....is this TRUE? If so, would the same apply to a etrailer or Draw tite hitch?

Normally the skid plate can reinstall after the front hitch part # 31313 is installed but on the TRD models the skid plate is different and can't be.

I contacted Curt on your behalf and they confirmed for the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver #31313, the side carriage bolts should be replaced with the installation kit bolts and there shouldn't be plastic fittings to remove there. For 2…

We do have the Curt hitch part #C31076 which is a confirmed fit for your 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Premium. We had a customer with a Trail Edition come back and tell us it fit well with the skid plate and they didn't have to remove or modify it.
