When looking at the Draw-Tite Hitch # DT73RR and the # e25TR, there are some differences to consider. The first thing is the weight capacity. The # DT73RR offers 675 pounds of tongue weight/4,500 pounds of gross towing weight while the # e25TRonly offers 350 pounds of tongue weight/3,500 pounds of gross towing weight.
The second thing to consider is how they install. The crosstube of the # DT73RR will be exposed underneath the rear of the vehicle. With the # e25TR, it comes with a completely hidden design that hides that crosstube under the bumper cover. Since the # e25TR takes the place of your impact structure, it does have a more complex installation and takes more time to complete. I went ahead and attached videos of both models being installed on a 2022 Subaru Outback.
With all of these considerations, I recommend going with the # e25TR for the cosmetic reason of its design. The weight capacity of the hitch gets the job done with most applications.
As with all hitch receivers, I recommend consulting with your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure that your vehicle can accommodate the weight you wish to transport.
