What Weight Trailer Can 2015 BMW X5 Tow with Stealth Hitch Installed
Question:
I have a 2015 BMW X5 diesel, and want to tow 3000-6500 lbs travel trailer. If I install Stealth Hitches on my/this X5, can the setup tows properly without any weight distribution hitch which Stealth Hitches dont support and sway control? Can I add sway control to Stealth Hitches using ball mount tab either on one or both sides? Thank you.

I looked up the towing capacity of your 2015 BMW X5 diesel and found that it can tow up to a 5,952 lb trailer so as long as the travel trailer you end up with weighs less than that you'd be fine to tow it with the Stealth hitch # SH85VR installed.
With the Stealth hitches there is a way to use sway control but it's not with a friction sway unit since there's recommended way to attach the tab. Instead I recommend the Tuson Asymmetric Sway Control - 1 to 4 Axles
Item # 335TSC-1000.
This unit senses sway and will activate the brakes with the appropriate power in order to control sway that would otherwise occur. I have added a link to a video review for you to check out as well.
