If it were 100 pounds tongue weight that would be a problem but I am sure you meant 1,000 pounds tongue weight. Weight distribution is a good idea if the trailer when loaded and ready to tow weighs more than 50 percent of the vehicles weight. With a 7,000 pound trailer you will certainly qualify so you would benefit from weight distribution.
When choosing weight distribution you will need to go by the tongue weight of the trailer when loaded and ready to tow plus the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. On a 7,000 pound trailer since the tongue weight is typically 10 to 15 percent of the gross trailer weight you are looking at 700 to 1,050 pounds (but the tongue weight cannot exceed what the hitch and/or vehicle are rated for, whichever is lower).
For a tongue weight in this range I recommend a system rated for 600 to 1,200 pounds tongue weight like you have referenced, # RP66084. This system also includes dual-cam sway control that works to stop sway before it starts. You will just need to add a ball to this system using # A-90 for a 2 inch or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch.
I have included some links to instructions and videos as well as to some FAQ articles that should help you.
