Reese Sidewinder And Wedge Kit For A 2014 Ram With RamBoxes
Question:
Ram 2014 short box with Rambox I have a Lippert 1621 pin box on my 5th wheel I have a BandW Patriot 18K 5th wheel hitch If I buy the Reese Sidewinder am I still going to get the front to back and side to side when Im towing ? Or should I spend the extra money and upgrade to the Reese airborne ? What wedge would I have to get ? Thanks You

The Reese Sidewinder # RP34FR will work just fine with your B&W Patriot # BWRVK3255, and your 1621 pin box. The correct wedge kit you'd need, is the Sidewinder Wedge Kit for Pro Series 15K, 16K & 20K # 30850.
The Reese Sidewinder # RP34FR itself isn't going to improve ride quality, that's something you'll want to look toward the hitch head to assist with. A solution to provide better ride quality and increase turning clearance, is with the Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret # RP34FR. This will utilize air bag suspension integrated into the king pin for the improved ride quality you're looking for.
