Will The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch Fit A 2019 Ram 1500 Classic
Question:
Will this hitch fit a 2019 ram 1500 classic short bed and will it fit standard rail that I have in it already?

The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550034 is designed specifically for short bed trucks like your 2019 Ram Classic Short Bed. To know if it will be compatible with your current rails you'll just need to measure the distance from the center of the front rail to the center of the rear rail to determine if they are Industry Standard Rails (ISR). If you find the measurement between the center of the rails to be 22" (as shown below) then you do have ISR rails and the # DM8550034 will be compatible.
If you do not have ISR rails then you can replace your current rails with the Demco Installation kit # DM8552030-71 if you don't have a factory air suspension system or the Reese Installation Kit # RP50142-58 if you do have a factory air suspension system. Both of these kits are a custom fit for your Ram and will use the factory holes in the frame to install so that you don't have to drill into the frame.
If your bed is 5-1/2' in length then you will instead need a standard hitch and will need to replace the pin box on your 5th wheel trailer with a rotating pin box. A sliding hitch will not give you enough clearance to make tight turns and could potentially allow for the nose of your 5th wheel to come into contact with the cab of your Ram. For the hitch I recommend the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Single Jaw - 20,000lbs # RP30928 along with the Reese M5 Sidewinder Wedge # RP44FR to prevent the king pin of the pin box from rotating in the jaws of the hitch.
As for the pin box, you would need to know the bolt pattern of your pin box to determine the correct replacement. This can usually be found on the front or side of the pin box, usually on a white sticker. If you have a code instead of the bolt pattern we can look it up for you, and if you have nothing, which is some times the case, then I have attached a guide below that will walk you through determining the bolt pattern of your pin box. Once we know the bolt pattern we can pick the corresponding pin box.
For example the Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret - 20,000lbs # RP34FR will fit the following bolt patterns:
