Which Reese Weight Distribution/Sway Control System for Jayco Jay Flight SLX 242BHS Travel Trailer

Question:

I have a 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 crew cab, 4WD, 5.3 L V8, Z71. I will be towing a 2020 Jayco Jay Flight SLX 242BHS with 5360 pounds empty weight, 7000 pounds maximum GVWR. Is the RE44FR right for my towing? Does it come with swag control already included in the package as stated in the Etrailer page info? Thanks

If the fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of your travel trailer is between 600 and 1150 lbs, the Reese 49913 system which we sell as part # RE44FR would be a good choice.

I'll link to an article that explains a few different ways to determine your fully loaded trailer tongue weight.

If you find that the tongue weight is below 800 lbs, the # RE94FR would be a better choice for you.

As mentioned in the linked product descriptions, both systems provide both weight distribution and sway control.
