Question:

I have a Jeep Wrangler unlimited 2015, I have a tow bar roadmaster falcon 522 all terrain and I would like to tow my Jeep. I still have the factory bumper but I want to change it for a off road bumper. My first choice was to buy the D ring adapter but I read that the bar where the bumper is attached it’s not made to tow is it true my second choice is to add a base plate under the bumper but I will lost some clearance I would like to know which one a need? Thank you

You can definitely flat tow your 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with the tow bar you have, the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-522, though with the standard factory bumper a base plate is needed. It is not made to be connected to the D-rings or flat towed with. However, if you want to add an off-road bumper with D-rings you can do so and use the adapter. I'll go ahead and list out the options for you:

- Standard Factory Bumper: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521448-5

- 3/4" Thick Shackle Mounts: Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts # RM-035

- 1" Thick Shackle Mounts: Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts # RM-035-1

Along with the base plates (or adapters) and tow bar, the other things you will need to flat tow your '15 Wrangler are safety cables, wiring, and a supplemental braking system. I'll list out the parts for you below if you also happen to need those.

- RoadMaster 64" Double Hook, Straight Safety Cables # RM-646
- Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
- Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR
