Set-Up Procedure for Tekonsha Primus Brake Controller Installed on 2013 Honda Pilot
Question:
I have changed vehicles from a 2011 pilot to a 2013 pilot.it seems to be braking ok but I would like to review the steps with u as to the 1.2.3.s in the steps and to lock in the final adjustment

In case you no longer have them, I have linked you to the owners manual which fully addresses the set-up procedure for your Primus brake controller.
Make sure your controller is correctly installed, so that it is oriented between 0 degrees and 70 degrees angled upward (see diagram in instructions). Ensure that the controller is pointed parallel to the direction of travel.
As an initial adjustment, slide the manual brake switch on the controller fully to the left and set the power adjustment wheel so that the voltage reads 6.0 on the LED display. Then, drive tow vehicle and trailer around on a dry and level paved surface at around 25 mph and fully apply the manual brake switch on controller. If the trailer brakes lock up, gradually reduce the power level. If braking is not strong enough, increase the power. Ideally, you will want the power set so that the brakes have maximum braking power without locking the wheels up.
