I would like a step by step on how to hook my four-way to my 7-way to hook up my trailer lights for heavy duty Chevy 2000 model

To adapt from a 4-way on a vehicle to a 7-way on a trailer all you need is an adapter like the part # 37185 which your 4-way would plug into and be ready to connect to a trailer. If the trailer has brakes though you'd need the # ETBC7 instead with a brake controller like the very reliable and well-performing Brake EVN # TK63VR.
