Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we'll be taking a look at our Kelty Galactic down blanket. So this can be an outdoor or indoor blanket. If you wanna use it in your tent or camper. And we're gonna take a look at some of it's features. This is a super lightweight blanket with that Galactic down or lightweight down.

So you have different options here. This is to mimic the cosmos, so you have the blue and the purple but you can also get this in other colors, like blue and brown or red. What really sticks out with the Galactic down blanket is how lightweight and warm it is. That's because it uses 550 down filling. So it's very, very thin, but it also helps keep you warm.

So it still insulates and it still is a comforting feeling. Adding to that comfort, is what it's made of. So we have this silky taffeta of you have two sides to it. One is the outside where have that cool print and then you have the inside, which is your base color. So the size of this blanket is gonna be six feet by four feet and seven inches.

So perfect for a two person mattress. Like what we have here. You can also compact this down when you're ready to go. We have an included stuff sack for that. After learning the hard way I refuse to get blankets or sleeping bags that don't have a stuff sack just because it takes so much extra time.

So just like this, you stuff it right into it's included stuff sack. This only weighs 1.79 pounds, so just a little under two pounds. You can see how lightweight this is and how small it scrunches up to be. And once you've got it all the way in there, you have a flap on top just to secure that top. And then you have a cinch strap. So the shell itself is compact. We have a measurement of about, of seven inches wide by 12 inches long. I personally get to about eight inches wide and 13 inches long just because of how I stuff everything in there, but you can easily put this inside of your hiking pack. This is an outdoor blanket, so that polyester shell on there will not pick up dirt and debris as much as your normal throw blanket, meaning you're ready to go on a hike. So comparing this blanket with other blanket options, this is definitely a lot more lightweight and compact than your traditional quilts or throw blankets. With that polyester lining you also help out with that dirt and debris. Easily washes off, easily brushes off. It doesn't gather all of that. So definitely something I would recommend adding to your list of things for hiking, lists of things for camping. This is also a good addition for your trailers or campers, just because of how pretty it is. When it comes to the designs though, you also have different options. There's the big E blanket, there's the bestie blanket from Kelty. Those have different styles as well as different sizes. If you want something even more rugged, there's their corduroy blanket from Kelty as well. Which has a stronger texture, but it is heavier too.
