4-Flat Connectors for Flat Towing and Towing a Trailer on a 2014 Honda CR-V
Question:
I have the HM56304 installed on my 2014 Honda CRV, so I can Flat-tow it behind my motor home. Now, I have added a tow hitch to the CRV so I can tow a small trailer behind it when NOT connected to the motor home..and would like to wire it for a 4 flat connector so I can have lights on the trailer I am towing....I was recommendedinch from you guys the Hopkins 118561, but I am concerned that I cannot install it, because the plug-and-play connections for the rear taillights of the CRV are already takeninch by the earlier installed HM56304....In other words, do I need something totally independent of the HM56304? And if so, can you recommend a solution or part number..? If the plug and play for both are compatible, great, but I dont see how that is possible....thanks in advance.

I took a look at the instructions and installation videos for both the Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles item # HM56304 and the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # 118561. They attach at completely separate wiring harnesses in the rear cargo area of your 2014 Honda CR-V. These parts are compatible with each other. I have attached installation videos for both products so you can confirm.
