Options for RV Use During Winter, Preventing Pipes and Tanks Form Freezing

Question:

I use my Jayco EXP 19H during the winter. I plug in to 120ac power where available, and use propane for heating. I use city water or fresh water with pump. When it is really cold 10-30°F the water lines freeze overnight. Both cold and hot do not flow on city or tank. What can I do to remedy this?

There are several options such as the ThermaHeat RV Holding Tank or Step Heater Pad w/ Thermostat, # 277-000164 or # 277-000163, that will be placed against the holding tank. These weatherproof heating pads helps prevent the holding tanks from freezing with a built-in thermostat. It is an easy, peel-and-stick installation.

The Valterra Self-Regulating Heating Cable for RV Plumbing, # W01-1572, # W01-1573 and # W01-1574 depending on the length you want, 15', 25' and 50 respectively. This is a self-regulating cable changes temperature to keep tanks and pipes warm without overheating.
