The connection port for a brake controller on your 2006 Toyota Tundra with factory 7-way trailer connector will be found under the driver-side dashboard. The connector may be bundled with or zip-tied to other wiring under the dash.
The port will mate to the white connector on the plug-and-play harness # 3040-P; the other end of the harness with the flat black connector will plug into the back of your brake controller. Please refer to the linked video showing installation of a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 brake controller on a 2007 Tundra.
This shows the appearance and approximate location of the connector. Please note that there is a separate ground wire with ring terminal on the harness that must be attached to a clean, rust-free (and ideally unpainted) metal surface.
If your truck does not have a factory 7-way, you will need a brake controller installation kit, # ETBC7, to convert your 4-pole trailer connector to a 7-way. This includes the 7-way trailer connector, wiring, circuit breakers and mounting bracket; it also includes a circuit tester to help you identify the functions carried on the vehicle wiring. I have linked two articles that cover this part and its installation.
