Would the Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler # D15902 fit a 2008 GMC Yukon
Question:
From the pictures on your web site it looks like the oil cooler lines will leave the top of the oil filter heading toward the drive side of the car. My 2008 Yukon XL Denali 6.2L engine is all wheel drive. Is there enough clearance from the front drive shaft to route these oil lines? Are the lines that come with the kit long enough to allow the lines to exist the oil filter interface toward the rear of the vehicle? My engine does appear to have blanked off ports above the oil filter for an oil cooler, can these be used vs the part that comes with the kit? thanks,

We have not had the chance to install the Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler # D15902 on a 2008 GMC Yukon like yours so I cant say for certain exactly how you would route the oil lines. But I am sure there is a way for you to route the lines so that they avoid pinch points and heat.
I am not sure if you will have enough line to install the cooler the way you described, but I did go out to our warehouse and measure the length of the lines and found that the thinner line is 4 feet long and the thicker one is 10 feet long. If you need more your local auto parts store would be able to help you.
I would recommend you use the included sandwich adapter to install this, it would be much easier than using the ports and since the recommended method for installing this kit would be to use the adapter it is the only way I can safely recommend.
