To install the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller - 2 Braking Modes - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional # RED44FR in your 2022 Toyota 4Runner you'll want to use the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Classic or Elite Trailer Brake Controllers # RED49FR for quick and easy installation. Simply plug one end of the adapter into your Tow-Pro brake controller and plug the other end in beneath your vehicle's dash. I've attached a video below where Conner will walk you through this installation.
You can use a mounting panel like the # 331-TPSI-002 or # 331-TPSI-003 for a nice factory look.
For a great starter ball mount kit I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches - 7,500lbs # 989900. It has a 1-7/8" hitch and 2" hitch ball to allow you to tow multiple trailers. It has a 1" or 3" rise and a 2" or 4" drop to keep your trailer level while towing.
