Can Multi-Fit Motorhome Hitch Brackets be Bolted Inside C-Frame

Question:

Two bolts on each bracket attached to the bottom of the frame seems minimal for a 5,0000 lb. hitch. My current 3,500 lb. hitch has three bolts attached to the side to the C beam, but its a custom fit from a company no longer in business. I was wondering if instead of bolting it to the bottom of the lower flange of that C beam if we could put the flange of the bracket on the top of that lower flange of the beam and bolt it there so that it is not only bolted to the C frame but supported by it too?

Yes, if you'd like to put the flange of the bracket on top of the C-frame beam and bolt it there you can do so with the Multi-Fit Motorhome Trailer Hitch # 5350.

So long as it is properly bolted to the specs in the instructions and the crosstube is correctly flush or extended through the side brackets then you can install the # 5350 in the manner you described.
