Determining which replacement tarp will fit the tonneau cover on your 2006 Dodge Dakota with the 6-1/2 foot bed will require a few things. First and foremost will be the manufacturer of said cover. As the # EX5940 replacement tarp is for an Extang cover, it will only fit an Extang. This leads me into the second thing. That being the model of your current cover. The # EX5940 will only fit Extang's FullTilt cover with the snaps to secure it closed.

With all that being said, the correct Extang FullTilt Replacement Tarp with Snaps for your 2006 Dodge Dakota with the 6-1/2 foot bed will be the # EX82CV. This will be a direct replacement for an Extang FullTilt 8760.
