Difference Between The B&W Companion 20K & 25K For A 2022 Ford F-450 Super Duty w/ OEM Prep Package

Besides price, what is the difference between the BandW 3300 vs the 3305? I know either will suffice for my load requirements but if there is no disadvantage of the 25k over the 20k then I would get the more heavy duty model since it would allow me to carry a heavier load if needed.

There are no disadvantages to using the 25K B&W Companion # BWRVK3305 instead of the 20K B&W Companion # BWRVK3300.

The price is higher, yes, but the 25K only has a shipping weight that is 10 more pounds than the 20K. The hitch head is actually very easy to remove, the weight of the hitch heaf makes up about half of the weight so with it removed it will be a little easier to install/remove from the below bed puck system installed in your 2022 Ford F-450 Super Duty.

Since both fit the OEM puck system on your 2020 Ford F-450 Super Duty I recommend going with the 25K for the exact reason that you referenced; it gives you more capacity so the hitch doesn't have to work as hard, plus it allows you to tow a heavier load if you ever decide to size up.

If you don't already have an in-bed 7-way connection I recommend installing the Bargman 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness for Aluminum Truck Bed - 7 Way RV - 9' Long # 50-97-410-010 as well.
