Compatability of Fifth Wheel Hitch Installation Kit with the 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab

Will this kit work on a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 mega cab diesel truck? Custom Installation kit RP50140-58.

Yes, the Custom install kit, item # RP50140-58, does work with Mega Cab models (see instructions).
Always measure truck and trailer before installing hitch to be sure that there is clearance at the cab and at the bumper to allow for maneuvering. You may need to use a Sidewinder to gain enough clearance between the cab and trailer loft to make turns up to 90 degrees. Our Sidewinder page (see link) has a formula for determining the clearance you will need and if you will need a Sidewinder. You can use the measurements in the installation kit instructions to determine the approximate center of the 5th wheel in your bed.
If you determine that you will need a sidewinder you will need to know the pin box part number on your trailer so you can order a sidewinder (see link) with the correct rotating turret for your trailer.
