TorkLift Trailer Hitch Receiver Needed To Use TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension on 2017 Ford F-350
Question:
I have a 2017 F350 dually diesel with the factory hitch installed. I need to tow a 7,000 lb GVW trailer while carrying a pickup camper in the bed. I know I need the 48” supertruss extension but which hitch do I need? Can I use the existing hitch with this new hitch? Thanks

The TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitch Receiver # TLF1008-30 is the receiver you need for your 2017 Ford F-350. For this hitch to be installed you will need to remove your current factory hitch. I have linked an installation video below that will help to guide you through the removal of your factory receiver along with the installation of the new receiver.
Having this receiver will allow for you to use the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension # TLE1548 to tow your trailer behind your F-350 with the in bed camper. The extension is rated for up to 6,000lbs trailer weight and 600lbs tongue weight with a traditional ball mount. Since your camper is 7,000lbs GVWR it will likely exceed one if not both of these specifications so you will need a weight distribution hitch. The weight distribution hitch will increase towing capacity to 12,000lbs trailer weight and 1,200lbs tongue weight.
If you do not already have a weight distribution hitch for this I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET. This will have a sway control built into the weight distribution making it safer with having the trailer so far behind your vehicle. This hitch system will include a 2-5/16" hitch ball, if your coupler is 2" a 2" Hitch Ball # EQ91-00-6080 will be needed. You will need a 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 to install either ball onto the hitch head when you are setting up the weight distribution for your trailer.
